Come visit the Seaport on Saturday, April 21st from 10 AM - 2 PM to take advantage of an opportunity to visit with skilled artisans and hobbyists who build model ships. The Puget Sound Ship Modelers will be showing off their works in progress, a few completed projects, and talking about what is needed to get started in this fascinating hobby that anyone can participate in. This event is sure to spark your interest and might even that next big thing you've been looking to get involved with!

The Other Country, a community-based theatrical event for all ages, was staged at the historic Foss Waterway Seaport in August 2017, with five sold out shows. Luckily for those who could not get tickets or who were out of town, a video of the play has been created and is ready to share with the community. The Blue Mouse Theatre (in Tacoma's Proctor District) will open their doors to a benefit screening on Thursday, May 17 at 7pm. Admission at the door of $5 + donations will benefit the Tacoma Historical Society.

The Foss Waterway Seaport is proud to be hosting Philip H. Red Eagle for an afternoon talk about his work with Tribal Journeys, an annual gathering of various Northwest Native American Tribes & First Nations Tribes from Canada who use ocean-going canoes to complete their journey.

An ongoing fine art installation featuring artists from around the Pacific Rim

The Foss Waterway Seaport will be hosting an ongoing fine art installation from members of the Pacific Rim Institute of Marine Artists. With regional and international artists from across the Pacific Rim, artworks include contemporary, historical, and plein air formats in a wide range of subjects from Canada, Hawaii, Australia, New Zealand and America. PRIMA members will also be curating several fine art shows, supporting ongoing fundraising efforts, and working on a significant International Exhibition scheduled for later this year.
