We're thrilled to announce that the Foss Waterway Seaport is the next stop on KNKX's 10th anniversary celebration tour! Join us on Tuesday, August 11, for an evening of jazz history, waterfront storytelling, and community celebration.
Doors open at 6:00 PM, giving you time to explore our exhibits before the program begins. A pre-event reception runs from 6:30–7:15 with complimentary non-alcoholic beverages, beer and wine for purchase, light bites, live music from Counterpoint, and lawn games.
At 7:30 PM KNKX's Carol Handley and Justus Sanchez open the program with a look at the roots of jazz. Then KNKX host Emil Moffatt talks with historian Nancy Bourne Haley and our CEO, Brent Mason, about the story of Thea Foss and the legacy behind the waterway that carries her name, along with the mission of the 126-year-old building we callhome.
