For the first time since the beginning of the pandemic, Seaport educators are boarding a boat with students to explore the science and maritime history of the Salish Sea. Seventh graders from several Tacoma Public Schools are coming with their science classes in the Spring of 2022 to explore the Seaport and sail on the Lady Washington! This exciting new partnership with the Lady Washington gives students the opportunity to understand how a historical ship would have worked in a way never possible before through Seaport programs.
To staff this exciting new program, the Seaport has welcomed four new Educators along with our previous dedicated team. Welcome, Educators!
